We are looking for you who are a specialist nurse in intensive care or anesthesia and who want to make a real difference for patients with long-term ICU care needs. About Remeo We are a small hospital that offers a unique form of care in Sweden – intensive care rehabilitation outside the traditional hospital environment. Since its founding in 2013, Remeo has developed into a center of excellence for intensive care rehabilitation where our patients share prolonged critical illness as a common denominator. We receive patients from across the country and have since our start accumulated unique expertise in the field with a special focus on respiratory rehabilitation. We also care for patients who need dialysis in combination with rehabilitation. We also participate in the care chain for national highly specialized care for spinal cord injuries. What makes Remeo unique? Remeo offers patients with long-term intensive care needs a calmer care environment combined with rehabilitation. At the same time, we help free up beds at hospitals' intensive care units. We combine high-tech expertise with rehabilitation from day one. Each patient receives an individualized care plan and the time for training they need to find their way back to life based on their individual circumstances. We work in multiprofessional care teams where nurses, nursing assistants, doctors, specialist nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists and others contribute their expertise to create safe and secure care. We actively work with development and improvement efforts with short decision-making paths. All resources are close at hand and we know each other. Our community is an important part of our care model; together we break new ground in intensive care rehabilitation. Our environment The clinic is located in the beautiful natural setting of Stora Sköndal by Drevviken, and currently has space for 15 patients. All patients are cared for in single rooms in fresh facilities adapted for modern intensive care rehabilitation. There is plenty of space for training, time in our beautiful garden, and good opportunities for contact with family and friends. The role of specialist nurse at Remeo You work with advanced medical equipment for patients with complex and intensive care-related needs. You care for patients with varying respiratory support needs, including both invasive and non-invasive ventilation. You care for patients with ongoing dialysis treatment in combination with intensive care rehabilitation. You are part of a multiprofessional team alongside many experienced colleagues where you contribute your intensive care experience and support and mentor colleagues in daily work. You regularly have the role of care leader during on-call shifts and are then the most senior clinician in the facility with responsibility for acute situations or patient deterioration. Doctors are always in the facility with 30 minutes response time. Because specialist nurses at Remeo often have a leadership role, we offer ongoing leadership training based on the concept "Leading without being a manager". There are good opportunities for expanded responsibility, such as weaning nurse in the weaning process or contributing to training initiatives internally and externally. What else can we offer?
