At BUP Skaraborg, we are constantly working to improve child and adolescent psychiatry. We are looking for you—whether newly qualified or experienced—as a specialist physician who wants to share your knowledge and be part of our team.
Duties
As a specialist in child and adolescent psychiatry, you will be part of regular clinical work in the form of medical assessments and investigations, as well as medical follow-up at our clinics. You are responsible for patient care and treatment, and you will have other professionals in the team to support you. In addition to standard physician work at our clinics, we want you to actively participate in our development and training activities. Your medical expertise is an important part of working to develop our patient processes. In your role, you will also supervise our ST physicians, rotating ST physicians, AT/BT physicians, and junior physicians. The work also includes on-call duty Monday–Friday.
Qualifications and Attributes
We are looking for you as a specialist in child and adolescent psychiatry. You are expected to enjoy working in a team and actively contribute to good collaboration with colleagues and other healthcare providers. As a person, you are clear in your communication, responsive, and work toward the organization's goals and needs. You can handle parallel tasks, are solution-focused, and can adapt to changes in work methods and operations. On-call experience is an advantage; if you are newly qualified as a specialist, we will ensure you receive support in on-call work. Deeper knowledge in neuropsychiatry is an advantage. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
About Us
Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP) in Skaraborg is part of the business area VO1, which includes child and women's health care as well as child and adolescent psychiatry. BUP Skaraborg is responsible for specialized child and adolescent psychiatry. Our operations consist of two outpatient clinics, in Skövde and in Mariestad. The operations also include BUP emergency responsibility.
The physician group within BUP Skaraborg has its own chief physician.

The position is full-time, but we are open to discussion regarding working hours arrangement.
