Duties As a PCI operator, you will have a central role in our cardiac care. You work independently with diagnostic coronary angiography and PCI, from elective treatments to complex and acute interventions. You meet a broad range of patients and have the opportunity to apply and develop your expertise in interventional cardiology. The role also includes other acute interventions such as temporary pacemaker implantation and pericardiocentesis. We also perform catheter-based thrombectomy for pulmonary embolism. You participate in our on-call coverage for primary PCI around the clock and work closely with our clinical cardiologists in acute and multidisciplinary assessments. Emergency medicine is staffed by our own residents in internal medicine as the minimum decision authority for primary PCI, which creates a safe and efficient care chain. For us, teamwork is a natural part of daily life. You work together with experienced PCI nurses and physicians and contribute your expertise, leadership and experience in the lab. You also have the opportunity to mentor residents and future PCI operators and help develop the future of cardiac care. Qualifications We are looking for you who are a specialist physician or senior physician in cardiology and who have solid and documented experience as an independent PCI operator. You are confident in your expertise, stay calm when the situation is acute and are comfortable taking responsibility and leading work in the lab. We believe you are someone who appreciates teamwork and contributes to a good working environment through clear communication, responsiveness and an unpretentious approach. You enjoy sharing your experience and see mentoring and development of colleagues as a natural part of the role. Own research experience is a merit, as is an interest in developing the operation and contributing to clinical research. The position requires Swedish medical license, specialist certificate in cardiology and good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing, equivalent to at least level C1.
