The Ear, Nose, and Throat department provides acute and scheduled otolaryngologic care with outpatient and surgical services. The clinic in Hudiksvall is Hälsingland's only ear, nose, and throat facility and serves a catchment area of approximately 130,000 patients. We are located in newly built facilities at Hudiksvall Hospital, with facility planning and procurement of new state-of-the-art equipment conducted in consultation with staff. Our team consists of four specialist physicians, four residents (ST-läkare), and junior physicians working alongside nurses, nursing assistants, and medical secretaries.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a specialist physician with us, you will have varied and developmental work. We conduct both scheduled and acute services at the clinic and in the central operating room, and you will always work closely with nursing assistants and nurses, making the workflow smooth and efficient. We offer comprehensive surgical services with general anesthesia surgeries three days per week and local anesthesia surgeries two to three days per week, providing excellent opportunities to develop your expertise. The role also includes natural leadership where you serve as a role model in clinical work and contribute to developing the department. We also actively engage in sustainability initiatives to contribute to greener healthcare.
Working hours are Monday to Thursday 07:30-16:30 and Friday 07:30-14:00, with evening and night on-call duties Monday to Thursday. No services are provided in Hudiksvall on weekends and public holidays; hospitalized ear, nose, and throat patients are transferred to Gävle. Weekend on-call duties in Gävle are shared between physicians in Hudiksvall and Gävle.

Mentoring and support to colleagues and students is an important part of the assignment, and we therefore see that you have pedagogical ability and interest in sharing your knowledge and experience.
As a specialist physician, you should be:
• a licensed physician
• board-certified in ear, nose, and throat.
