For example, we are developing "highest competence first" as a development area. Your expertise can contribute both operationally and to improvement work. We also collaborate with inpatient care through improvement work aimed at creating an acute care unit alongside building a completely new emergency care facility. Your Responsibilities As an emergency medicine specialist, you will be an important part of emergency care in Karlstad. Based on your expertise, the department's needs, and your future plans, we will together shape a role where you have the opportunity to develop. You may work in several parts of the operation, for example: The Mobile Team, where you work with both primary assessments and specialized care in patients' homes. By bringing emergency care and appropriate assessment tools to patients, you contribute to accessible, patient-centered care. There are also opportunities to develop work within hospital-at-home and acute prehospital care. The Emergency Department, where tasks can include both clinical work in patient flow and leadership roles as a physician, tailored to your specialist expertise and experience. Inpatient Care, where you work with other clinics. Placements in acute internal medicine, geriatrics, or other medical specialties are possible. You will be part of developing the department further toward the future of emergency care in Karlstad. By integrating mobile care, emergency department, and inpatient care, we see a clear development of emergency care in Karlstad. Your Knowledge and Competencies We seek a specialist physician in a relevant specialty area who wants to use your expertise close to patients. You have strong knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written. It is advantageous if you are a specialist in emergency medicine, have mentoring experience, or have previously worked in mobile care. As a person, you are independent and have the confidence to act according to your own conviction. You are secure in yourself, have good self-awareness, and remain steady even when conditions are challenging. In situations with time pressure or limited information, you can make quick decisions and act decisively without compromising quality or professionalism. We seek someone with a genuine interest in mentoring who thrives in a role where you take responsibility and make independent assessments.
