We are now seeking a specialist physician/senior physician in ophthalmology for the Eye Clinic in Umeå!
The Eye Clinic Västerbotten provides specialized healthcare in ophthalmology in Västerbotten and the northern region. Our operations are located at the county's three hospitals in Umeå, Skellefteå, and Lycksele. We are a university clinic with large patient flows that care for patients with eye diseases of all ages, from newborns to the very elderly. Our activities take place in a highly research and education-active environment where we collaborate with the Department of Ophthalmology at Umeå University.
At the eye clinic in Umeå, we have a well-developed outpatient-based operation and our inpatient beds are located on the Hand, Plastic, and Eye Ward. Annually, we perform approximately 6,700 operations with over 35,000 outpatient visits. We strive to be at the forefront and have several areas of national specialist expertise. We have just over 80 employees at the clinic in Umeå. Given our regional specialty status, most tasks found at an eye clinic are included in our work.

WORK DUTIES
As an eye physician with us, you contribute knowledge and commitment that help people feel secure.
You will work with medical and surgical care of the eye. You examine, diagnose, and treat eye problems and eye diseases as well as manage eye problems caused by underlying diseases.
QUALIFICATIONS
You are a licensed physician with specialist competence in ophthalmology.

Employment form: Permanent employment.
Duration: Permanent, start date: By agreement.
Working hours: Shift schedule.
If your qualifications have not been expert-reviewed previously, this will take place before your start date in accordance with Regulation (1998:1518) on competence requirements for certain positions in healthcare, etc.
