The Physiology Unit in Gävle operates within the areas of clinical physiology, clinical neurophysiology, and nuclear medicine. We are 35 employees within various professional categories including physicians, biomedical analysts, medical secretaries, hospital physicists, and nursing assistants. We perform approximately 15,000 examinations per year at the unit.

WORK TASKS
The work is varied with a broad spectrum of physiological examinations and involves both independent work and collaboration with other professional categories.
As a specialist, you also have knowledge in nuclear medicine with a focus on myocardial scintigraphy and a few acute examinations.
As a specialist physician in clinical physiology and nuclear medicine, you will work with
• scheduled patient consultations and acute examinations
• method development and have method responsibility
• teaching and mentoring of resident physicians and other colleagues undergoing training.

In the role of specialist physician in clinical physiology, you should
• be a licensed physician and have a specialist certificate issued by the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen)
• have good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing.
For this position, it is meritorious if you have experience with myocardial scintigraphy.
A probationary period may be applied.
