Our Offering
The Geriatric Clinic is a well-established operation with approximately 120 employees working together to provide elderly patients with person-centered, safe, and high-quality care.
The clinic includes a geriatric acute care unit (GAVA) with 20 care beds, the Cognitive Specialist Clinic, the Parkinson's Clinic, and physician responsibility for ward rounds at municipal short-term care facilities. The combination of inpatient care, specialist clinics, and close collaboration with municipal healthcare provides a unique breadth and variety in clinical work.

Job Description
As a specialist physician with us, you will work with assessment, diagnostics, treatment, and follow-up of elderly patients with complex medical conditions. The position includes work within the clinic's various areas of operation based on operational needs and your competency profile.
You will work closely with other professionals within the clinic and collaborate with primary care, municipal health and medical services, and other specialist clinics. The role also includes mentoring of specialist training physicians and colleagues, as well as participation in operational development and quality improvement work.
On-call duties are included with weekend service approximately every fifth or sixth weekend. Additionally, service within the internal medicine on-call lines may occur a couple of times per term.
Work Team
At the clinic, specialist physicians, specialist training physicians, nurses, nursing assistants, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social workers, psychologists, and healthcare administrators work together in multiprofessional teams.

About You
We seek you as a licensed physician with specialist competence in geriatrics.
You have a genuine interest in elderly patients and appreciate the breadth within geriatric medicine. You enjoy working in teams, have good collaboration skills, and contribute to a positive work environment.
As a person, you are responsible, flexible, and have the ability to see the whole picture regarding patient needs. You are also interested in contributing to the clinic's continued development through quality improvement work, mentoring, and knowledge sharing. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
