Our Offer Primary Care Center Östergötland consists of 33 region-operated health centers, Finspång Health Center, Child Health Care Unit, 1177 and on-call centers evenings and weekends, and a General Medicine Training Center. We conduct broad primary care operations where we offer care to everyone throughout their entire lives; newborns, children, adolescents, adults, elderly, and patients in end-of-life care. Finspång Health Center has approximately 20,800 registered patients from a mixed population and about 100 permanent employees. In addition to the basic health center assignment, the operations include an on-call center, a smaller clinic assignment, and a branch in Rejmyre. The health center is in a development phase where staffing is being strengthened and operational development is underway in many areas. Since 2025, Skärblacka and Finspång health centers form a common unit. The operations have just over 130 employees in total and currently collaborate at both management and employee levels. Job Description As a physician with us, you have your own patient list. We prioritize our physician meetings for development, innovation, and medical matters, which are also important aspects for the social part of the physician group. For us, it is of the highest importance to have a reasonable work environment, clear responsibility distribution, and flexibility regarding schedules. The position includes clinical work with patient consultations where you as a physician have both acute and scheduled patient appointments. It is also common for our specialist physicians to have an additional area of responsibility, such as child health care, nursing home care, or home care services. Evening and weekend on-call work is included in the position; for some time, the on-call/night duty assignment has been managed by another unit within Health Center, meaning night shifts are not currently performed within the primary care assignment. You will also supervise students and training physicians; the health center currently has eight resident physicians. Development time is allocated within the assignment for this. About You We are seeking someone who is a licensed physician with specialist competence, primarily in general medicine. We are also interested in geriatrics or other specialist competence deemed appropriate for our operations. For us, it is important that you have broad general knowledge regardless of specialty. You have Swedish physician licensure (enclosed with application) and Swedish language skills equivalent to Swedish C1 level.
