Botvids Health Center is a small, privately-owned health center with a care agreement with Region Stockholm. The health center is located in Hallunda centrum and opened in May 2023 by a group of specialist physicians and psychologists with many years of experience working in Hallunda. We know the area and its population well and place great emphasis on good patient care, continuity, and accessibility. In addition to Swedish, our staff speaks several different languages, including Arabic, Turkish, Syriac, Cantonese, Mandarin, Polish, Finnish, Sorani, Pashto, Dari, and English. Our operations are appreciated by patients, which is reflected in excellent results in the National Patient Survey. We are steadily increasing our number of registered patients and now have approximately 5,600 registered patients, which is why we want to strengthen our team with an additional specialist physician in general medicine.
About the position:
The role involves largely typical duties of a general practitioner, where you have significant scope to influence processes and routines. A large proportion of our registered patients have multiple chronic conditions, which places demands on physicians' medical expertise. We have an open climate and conduct patient rounds between professional groups daily to increase the ability to use our resources optimally. In the care of acutely ill patients, nurses and physicians work as a team, where the nurse makes an initial assessment and consults the on-call physician as needed. We have a well-functioning psychosocial team with good accessibility for patient assessment and treatment. Beyond this, we have expanded services for mental health in children and adolescents, and from September this year also the expanded task of health promotion initiatives targeted at the population. We are now in an exciting development phase, so your ideas and insights will be of great importance. You will be part of a team consisting of specialist physicians in general medicine, medical trainees in general medicine (BT/ST), nurses, district nurses, nurse assistants, psychologists, a psychotherapist, administrators, and medical secretaries. As a specialist in general medicine, you will be responsible for a patient list of 1,100 patients.
Minimum requirements to apply:
Specialist Physician in General Medicine.
Be registered as a resident in Sweden and have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
Ability to collaborate with other professional groups at a health center and very good interpersonal skills.
The health center is open on weekdays (no weekends or holidays) from 7-17, which means you will have varying working hours where you will sometimes open at 7 and sometimes close at 17.
