We are now welcoming a specialist physician in general medicine to our health center in Åhus. Health Center Åhus with its branch in Vä is a health center with a big heart. We are an accredited health care facility and offer physician consultations, district nurse consultations, elderly care consultations, diabetes consultations, and asthma/COPD consultations. In addition, we also have nurse-led consultations, physiotherapy and occupational therapy, child health services, counseling, and dietary services. We provide advice and support to a nursing home as well as to municipal home care nursing. We are a medium-sized health center with approximately 25 employees. Our ambition is to provide the best possible service and high-quality care to our approximately 8,200 registered patients. The unit has a long tradition as a training facility characterized by a good work environment and a clear development-oriented culture. Looking ahead, we also see that Health Center Åhus will merge with Vä, which will become a branch of Åhus. This is an opportunity that will expand our physician staff and increase collaboration. RESPONSIBILITIES We are looking for someone who wants to work at a health center with a well-developed structure and clear treatment guidelines. With us, you will have varied work where you are given the opportunity to use your specialist competence fully through tasks at, among other things, our district physician consultation and child health services. You are involved and proactive in improvement work and business development. The development of mobile physician support is ongoing and is part of the position. You also work with home visits, supervision of training physicians, advice and support to municipal nurses, specialist nurses, and our special housing. The position can offer the opportunity to work in on-call services for evening and weekend consultations in Kristianstad. We encourage side assignments such as on-call work, participation in medication committees, quality work, and similar, as we consider it enriching for the business and positive for the work environment. QUALIFICATIONS As an applicant, you are a licensed physician with authorization to practice within Swedish healthcare and have specialist training in general medicine. Furthermore, you have Swedish language skills corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale. A valid category B driver's license is also necessary as work-related travel occurs. It is meritorious if you have experience working in primary care and child health services. It is an advantage if you are familiar with using various business systems, particularly medical record systems such as PMO, Pascal, and other systems used in primary care. Using IT support such as 1177 increases patient safety and contributes to faster communication with patients.
