Welcome to Lycksele Hospital, a small and modern acute care hospital in the interior of Västerbotten! We have a good collaborative climate between the hospital's clinics and primary care. Together we serve approximately 40,000 residents over an area as large as Switzerland.
The Surgical Center, southern Lapland is a relatively large clinic that includes the Emergency Department, Surgery & Orthopedic Section, Operating Department, Central Sterilization, and Anesthesia-ICU & Air Ambulance Section. The hospital also has a gynecological and obstetric department, a Medical Center, and a radiology department.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As an anesthesiologist at Lycksele Hospital, you will contribute knowledge and commitment that makes both patients and colleagues feel secure. You will play a central role in our team and at the hospital. The clinic has stable staffing with experienced specialists, ST physicians, and nurses. The broad and varied activities mean that you will encounter a constant mix of diagnoses and conditions in all age groups. This requires broad and high competence, but in return provides a varied and rewarding work environment.
As a specialist physician, you will participate in service development, teaching, and supervision of ST physicians, AT physicians, candidates, and other staff categories. We expect you to actively participate in our development work with the aim of providing good and accessible care.
Duties are performed within both intensive care and anesthesia but may also include service on the air ambulance helicopter. This adds an exciting and challenging dimension to the work where you will contribute to saving lives pre-hospital and performing advanced pre-hospital air ambulance emergency care.
On-call and standby duty are part of the employment.

QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who is or has:
· Specialist competence in anesthesia and intensive care. EDAIC is meritorious.
· On-call competence with experience of working in both anesthesia and intensive care.
· Experience with or interest in pre-hospital care is a plus.
· Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
· Good communication skills and social competence with a patient-centered approach.
· Swedish language skills corresponding to level C1.
