Make a difference. Every day. VC Sorgenfri is a primary care center centrally located in Malmö with stable staffing and a strong team spirit. We work for better health and quality of life for our patients in a multicultural area through good accessibility and high expertise. The primary care center is an academic primary care center (AVC), which means that the center has a research mission and serves as a bridge between clinical work and research. We have eight specialists in general medicine and six ST physicians supported by our administrative team. We have nurse assistants, general nurses, specialist nurses, and district nurses who run their own specialist clinics in areas such as diabetes, asthma/COPD, and elderly care. We have a well-functioning psychosocial unit with psychologists, a social worker, and a dietitian connected to the primary care center. There is good collaboration with Abels Rehab at Möllevångstorget, giving us access to occupational and physical therapists, with the physical therapist working two half-days per week on-site at VC Sorgenfri. DUTIES We now have the opportunity to welcome a specialist physician in general medicine to our team! The duties include both acute and scheduled clinic work, service at special housing facilities (SÄBO), supervision of ST physicians, and consultation for trainee physicians, nurses, and other professional categories. Extensive collaboration takes place with municipal home care services, including planned and acute home visits. Continuing education is important at the unit, and as a specialist in general medicine you will participate in teaching at the primary care center. QUALIFICATIONS We are seeking a licensed physician with specialist competence in general medicine and authorization to practice within Swedish healthcare. Swedish language skills at least equivalent to level C1 according to the Council of Europe scale are required. As a person, you are confident, responsible, and thorough in your professional role. You have a professional and empathetic approach to patients where the patient's needs are always in focus.
