About Us Närhälsan Vara Healthcare Center is located in a rural setting but centrally positioned in the region, with proximity to Göteborg, Vänersborg, Borås, and Herrljunga within approximately 1 hour's travel. We have approximately 14,700 registered patients and work to increase continuity of care. We are therefore organized into 4 teams, each consisting of physicians, nurses, healthcare assistants, a social worker, a psychologist, and administrative staff. Three times a week, the teams meet to review their patients and prepare for upcoming contacts and visits. We have a daily assessment clinic where physicians, nurses, and healthcare assistants collaborate on acute cases. Two days a week, a physiotherapist also participates in our assessment clinic in collaboration with Närhälsan rehab. We work closely with the rehabilitation clinic on other days as they are located in the same building. In addition to standard healthcare center services, we have a family center with close collaboration with our child health services. The same building also houses a senior living facility and short-term care unit, and we have well-developed collaboration with municipal health and medical services. On-call service at Lidköping's emergency center is part of your assignment. We achieve success together in a stimulating learning environment with open doors and a welcoming workplace atmosphere. As a specialist physician with us, you will also mentor ST physicians and medical students—it is an important part of our mission to train tomorrow's healthcare professionals. We offer you varied work with excellent development opportunities, including continuous professional education of ten days per year. About You You are a licensed physician with specialist certification in general medicine and authorization to practice within the Swedish healthcare system. If you have supervisor training and previous experience as a medical advisor or with home healthcare, that is a merit. Swedish language proficiency in speaking and writing at a minimum level of C1 according to the Council of Europe scale is required for the position. We are looking for someone who can work independently while also wanting to participate in the clinic's development work. In this role, you will meet many different patients, so it is important that you are attentive and have excellent patient communication skills.
