About the Swedish Prison and Probation Service The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is growing – we are building new facilities, renovating, and expanding, and we are now seeking additional staff members. Our most important goal is to reduce recidivism – to break the cycle of crime. When we succeed, society becomes safer and more secure for everyone. We are the authority responsible for prisons, probation services, remand facilities, and prisoner transport. The Security Department consists of approximately 160 people represented at many of the authority's operational locations and, together with prisons, remand facilities, and probation services, forms the authority's core operations. This position is located within the Information Security and Security-Protected Procurement section, where work is performed together with other colleagues working on security-protected procurement and information security. The section is part of the Operational Security Unit at the Swedish Prison and Probation Service headquarters. Job Description As a specialist in suitability and reliability within the SUA process, you will review and guide the SUA process. You will work in an environment with high ambitions where you, together with specialist and case handler colleagues, develop the authority's work within the SUA field and establish practices and build new structures in this area. Your role will be to drive the SUA work's ability to assess supplier suitability and reliability. You are expected to proactively drive improvement efforts in this area and initiate, coach, train, and drive work to further develop the structure. You need to be able to work independently within your area of responsibility while also contributing to the overall workplace and fostering good collaboration. The work also includes cooperation with other units and departments, including ongoing supplier monitoring and follow-up. The role also includes supporting the unit in other occurring security-related matters. Business travel may occur. Qualifications We are seeking someone who remains calm, stable, and composed in stressful situations, staying motivated and effective despite setbacks. You work well with other people. You also take responsibility for your tasks and work through until projects are completed or results are achieved. In your work, you have the ability to make correct assessments and prioritizations. You can synthesize complex information and different types of considerations, and demonstrate sound judgment in statements, actions, and decisions. We are seeking someone who has: Complete upper secondary education in the form of final grades or a secondary school diploma Several years of relevant work experience Good ability to express yourself clearly in speech and writing in Swedish It is also a merit to have: Basic knowledge of security protection legislation Post-secondary education Experience with SUA Experience with security-protected procurement Experience with similar tasks within or in collaboration with a government authority Experience with OSI work Experience with business and association auditing Experience from the Swedish Prison and Probation Service or another part of the justice system Experience with internal and external cooperation and good knowledge of cooperating authorities' mandates Experience with security vetting interviews Other Information The Swedish Prison and Probation Service has chosen to eliminate the personal letter and replaced it with selection questions relevant to the position.
