Description Katrinelundsgymnasiet and Bernadottegymnasiet together form Sweden's largest elite sports gymnasium. Here you'll find multiple RIG (National Sports Gymnasium) and NIU (Nationally Approved Sports Education) programs, along with a support team including school doctors, physiotherapists, school nurses, strength and conditioning coaches, and academic support. The schools have approximately 1400 students, with about half enrolled in elite sports programs. The role involves leading and developing the handball program in the elite sports subject at Katrinelundsgymnasiet and Bernadottegymnasiet. You will plan, conduct, and evaluate students' handball training in collaboration with other elite sports teachers. You'll be part of a network with other program directors and elite sports teachers within the RIG and NIU at Katrinelundsgymnasiet. Theoretical instruction and teaching will also be part of your responsibilities. Work hours are primarily scheduled during daytime on weekdays. However, weekend and evening work may occur due to competitions, tryouts, and training camps. This is a permanent position at 75% employment. Qualifications You are a qualified teacher with teaching certification and education or training in the elite sports subject. You have completed the Swedish Handball Federation's training program, and experience working with elite handball sports is a plus. We're looking for someone who is dedicated, positive, goal-oriented, and collaborative. You enjoy working with young people and have strong pedagogical skills. Good knowledge of club and organizational activities, as well as experience as a player or coach at junior, senior, or national team levels, is also advantageous. We seek someone who can lead and develop a program for young athletes committed to both elite handball careers and academic achievement. You place the student at the center and work toward established goals at both the individual and program level. You should have strong organizational abilities and be able to plan, conduct, and evaluate training and instruction both short and long term. You should be an excellent educator driven by the desire to develop young athletes. As a person, you are flexible and work well with colleagues and students. Does this sound like you?
