Kuldīga Municipality, Reg. No. 90000035590, announces an open competition for a vacant Special Education Teacher position at I. Zeberiņa Kuldīga Primary School for a fixed-term contract. We offer: • Modern and developmental work environment; • Professional and supportive team; • Fixed-term employment contract; • Full-time position (30 hours per week), work schedule to be arranged individually; • Salary in accordance with Cabinet Regulation No. 445 "Regulations on Teacher Compensation", monthly rate of 1175.00 EUR per month before tax; • Social guarantees in accordance with applicable regulations; • Health insurance after 6 months of service. Key job responsibilities: • Conduct individual work with students and consult with teachers on supporting students who require assistance; • Provide consultation and support to students and parents; • Implement quality educational process in accordance with general basic education standards and special education program requirements; • Coordinate support provision in the educational domain for students; • Participate in the school's Support Team activities and school pedagogical work; • Conduct student learning skills assessment and learning disorders diagnosis, dynamics research and evaluation; • Upon request, prepare special education teacher assessment and provide recommendations regarding student learning skills as requested; • Other duties in accordance with the job description. Requirements for candidates: • Education in accordance with Cabinet Regulation No. 569 of September 11, 2018 "Regulations on Education and Professional Qualifications Necessary for Teachers and the Procedure for Improving Teacher Professional Competence"; • Compliance with requirements of Article 72 of the Law on Protection of Children's Rights; • Knowledge of legal acts regulating the education sector and special education teacher activities; • Responsibility, initiative and independence in performing work duties; • State language proficiency at the highest level; • Professional communication with children, parents and colleagues.
