The Psychiatric Clinic Motala Mjölby consists of outpatient services in general psychiatry and addiction care in Motala and Mjölby. The operations also include an inpatient ward and a mobile care team, both located in Motala. The clinic works based on an integrated care chain with treatment responsibility in both outpatient and inpatient care. The clinic serves western Östergötland and has been part of the Psychiatry Center in Region Östergötland since 2020, together with all other psychiatric operations. Job Description A meaningful assignment close to the patient As a social worker with us, you meet patients with mental health challenges and complex life situations. You work with psychosocial assessments, treatment interventions, and support for patients, loved ones, and networks. You have an important role in highlighting how social and societal factors affect mental health and contribute to creating the best possible conditions for the patient's recovery, participation, and independence. Expert Support in Social Issues and Legislation As a social worker, you are the clinic's expert in social legislation and society's support services. You guide patients about their rights and opportunities for support and collaborate with, for example, the municipality, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, the Swedish Public Employment Service, and other health and care actors. You initiate and coordinate interventions when needed and work to strengthen the patient's own resources and opportunities for a functional everyday life. Collaboration That Makes a Difference The work occurs in close collaboration with physicians, nurses, psychologists, occupational therapists, and other professionals. You actively participate in team conferences, care planning, and treatment discussions where your expertise contributes to a complete picture of the patient's situation and needs. Requirements Social Work degree Meritorious Experience working in psychiatry or specialist psychiatry Credentials as a healthcare social worker We are looking for you who: Have a strong interest in mental health and psychiatric work Enjoy working both independently and in a team Have good collaboration skills and professional conduct Are flexible, proactive, and solution-oriented Have the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize your work We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
