Now we are looking for a social worker for our adult services unit Maria Nova who wants to be part of creating positive changes for individuals. DUTIES The adult unit's mission is to investigate, provide support and treatment, and follow up on services for adults aged 18 and older who have problems with substance abuse or addiction to alcohol, narcotics and/or gambling. Public authority duties also occur in the areas of domestic violence, social psychiatry, and housing. You will be part of a work team with several social workers led by a senior social worker and unit manager. We place great value on social work and we meet clients in the situation they find themselves in. The work is based on creating relationships, alliances, and trust through respectful treatment. The duties include investigating, deciding, and following up on services according to the Social Services Act or the Compulsory Care of Drug Abusers Act. An important part of the work is supporting and motivating the individual toward change processes. You coordinate and guide the various contacts and/or services the individual has from when the investigation begins until the case is closed at the unit. QUALIFICATIONS For the position you should have a degree in social work or other equivalent educational background and experience working with public authority duties. We would like to see that you have worked with people with substance abuse, mental health issues and/or comorbidities. It is meritorious if you have training in ASI, FREDA, Patriark or other assessment instruments, as well as experience working with domestic violence. Your role involves close collaboration with other actors both internally and externally, therefore it is required that you have good collaboration skills, that you are service-oriented, and that you are value-driven. As a social worker, flexibility in work is also important due to varying tasks that require the ability to quickly adapt to changes that arise. Documentation experience is a requirement and it is meritorious if you have worked with case management and investigations. For us it is important to have fun at work!
