The Placement Unit consists of three teams, each with its own team leader, working with children and young people placed outside their own homes. Two of the teams work with children placed in foster care, and each team consists of four child welfare officers and three foster care coordinators. Additionally, there is a dedicated foster care coordinator responsible for recruiting foster families. The third team, the Placement Team, works with children and young people placed in other care settings such as group homes and supported housing. The team consists of four social workers and one school coordinator.

We are now looking for a child welfare officer for the Placement Unit.
What we offer
With us, you'll develop and work alongside committed colleagues. You'll receive regular case supervision from team leaders and managers who are readily available. The district also has two methodology developers to support you. As a new employee, you'll go through an established introduction program that gives you the right conditions to methodically learn your tasks and routines.

Your role
As a child welfare officer, you follow up on care for children in foster homes. You build trusting relationships, maintain contact with parents and their networks, and collaborate with foster care coordinators. The work is conducted according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Care of Young Persons Act (LVU). Travel is part of the position – primarily in Stockholm but also elsewhere in the country.
Your competence and experience
For this position, you must have:
A degree in social work
Experience working with child welfare authority responsibilities
We consider it meritorious if you have:
Experience working with Signs of Safety
Class B driver's license
You are organized and ensure that your cases are handled promptly and with quality. You are goal and results-oriented with a clear focus on creating the best possible conditions for children and families. Furthermore, you are relationship-oriented and have the ability to build trust and strong collaborations with both clients and their networks. In addition to this, we value that you are collaboration-minded and enjoy working closely with both colleagues and other partners to achieve common goals.
