Laholms Municipality is seeking an engaged social secretary for the family support unit. The position is primarily focused on work with children placed outside their homes under the Social Services Act or LVU (Care of Young Persons Act). The work is conducted in close collaboration with social secretaries focused on intake and investigations, as well as foster care secretaries. The goal is to create a cohesive care chain for the children we serve, where they experience continuity and security in their interaction with social services. The team also includes a senior social secretary and a school coordinator. We work closely with partner organizations and want to build a care chain where the child's needs are at the center. We are looking for someone who wants to work in a smaller setting with competent and knowledgeable colleagues who, together with you, take responsibility for and develop Laholms social services. Responsibilities Handling cases concerning children placed outside their homes under the Social Services Act or LVU. We place great emphasis on meeting and conversing with the placed children, their parents, and foster families/HVB facilities. The position includes conducting investigations according to the Social Services Act, handling appeals, and writing statements for police, prosecutors, and courts. We offer close management with continuous supervision and training so you feel secure and can develop in your role here at Laholms Municipality. Qualifications We are looking for someone who is a social worker and has experience with social services authority functions concerning children and young people. Training in Signs of Safety, BBIC, conversation with children, and MI is a merit. You will work primarily with handling cases of placed children and young people and need strong knowledge of current legislation in this area. Experience with authority functions in intake, investigation, and placement concerning children and young people is a merit.
