Job Duties As a newly hired social secretary in the family care group (children's secretary), you will participate in the unit's introduction program and be assigned a mentor who will help you into the work based on your personal circumstances. We are part of the Professional Journey initiative. You will also have regular case consultations and supervision with your manager, adapted to your needs, as well as external supervision with the work group. You collaborate with internal and external partners and actively participate in the unit's quality and development work. In addition, the following work duties are included in the role: Long-term contact - you follow the family-placed children/young people, which often involves longer relationships, relationship building, and guidance. Maintaining tripartite parenthood - family care homes, biological parents, and social services collaborate around the child. School/network - responsibility for following schooling, participating in school meetings, and having contact with the biological network and planning visits. Following up/review - together with family care secretaries, you follow up and document placements and other decisions. You have the opportunity to work remotely to some extent. About the Workplace The Social Services Department's primary mission is to offer customized support and services within elderly care, disability services, children and families, adults, and financial assistance. We are present for residents throughout all stages of life. The Children and Youth Unit (ages 0-20) consists of approximately 30 employees divided into two groups: the investigation group and the family care group. The unit is led by a unit manager and three group managers. The family care group handles family placements and consists of children's secretaries and family care secretaries. We are now seeking a social secretary (children's secretary) for the family care group, to follow children and young people who are placed in family care. An additional position may be filled if required decisions are made. The family care group consists of experienced social workers with diverse professional backgrounds. Above all, we value a sense of belonging, learning from each other, and a supportive climate. We work together across the unit on methodology and development issues. We also have close collaboration with the investigation group, our own supported housing, outpatient services, and substance abuse treatment for young people, etc. A recent digital addition to the unit is a transcription tool that uses AI to convert speech to text, a way to really save time on documentation! It is meriting if you have: - Experience working with family placements - Experience working according to Signs of Safety - Additional language skills.
