Would you like to be part of creating a better future for Helsingborg's residents? We are now seeking engaged social workers for our financial assistance operations. With pleasant colleagues, exciting work tasks, and a workplace in the heart of Helsingborg, we offer a dynamic and developing environment where your contribution is crucial. Welcome to submit your application today! About the Workplace Future welfare is our great challenge. To address it, the employment administration has a very important mission: We must enable residents receiving financial assistance to become self-sufficient as quickly as possible, and also help employers find the right expertise. Additionally, we coordinate the city's work on migration and integration issues. We are approximately 400 colleagues in the administration, and our role is to provide residents with the right tools so they can take responsibility for their own development and livelihood. We meet the challenge with a broad range of adult education and labor market initiatives – and we test new ways of working together with the business community, other administrations, authorities, and civil society. To succeed, we must dare to innovate, test new approaches, and find smart solutions. We continuously develop the handling of financial assistance, which is now partially automated. A majority of our residents apply for financial assistance digitally, and we continue our work on digitalization, automation, and development of our work methods. Together with colleagues on the labor market side, we also develop our shared social work. Work Tasks As a social worker with us, you will primarily handle financial assistance cases, which may be both new applications and ongoing matters. You assess the right to assistance and communicate your decision to the resident. Working with residents' everyday finances is a natural and proactive part of the assignment and the social work. The following skills are relevant to succeed in this role. You need to be able to collaborate well with colleagues and residents, have a natural ability to build relationships and networks with different actors, be able to work according to given instructions, naturally adapt and respond to changing circumstances, and be able to deliver results. Great importance will be placed on your personal qualities. Before possible employment, you must provide a valid extract from the police criminal record register.
