The Child and Youth Unit consists of just over 20 employees who work with investigations and follow-up of interventions for children and youth between 0-21 years old, family law, and various forms of family treatment. We are now seeking an investigator for the work group. As an employee, you will have continuous support with cases from your immediate supervisor, senior social secretary, and colleagues. During 2026, we are beginning implementation of Signs of Safety. We offer the opportunity to work from home when possible based on the assignment and work group. Job Responsibilities The position involves investigating the situation of children and young people under the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Care of Young Persons Act (LVU). Ongoing documentation is part of the position. The work may involve longer travels. Qualifications We are looking for someone with a degree in social work and experience in social work. You have experience exercising government authority, preferably regarding children and youth. You have a strong commitment to the needs of children and young people, and you are confident in yourself and your professional competence. You plan, organize, and prioritize your work so that you can carry out your assignment within the specified timeframe. With humility and attentiveness, you recognize others' strengths and build good relationships with clients, colleagues, and our partners. Furthermore, you are comfortable using and learning new IT systems, and you need to have a valid Class B driver's license to work with us.
