Description Would you like to be part of creating meaningful work and making a difference for children and young people who have experienced violence? We are seeking a social secretary for our Family Violence Unit. We are a specialist unit tasked with conducting evidence-based work for children who have witnessed/experienced violence. You will be part of one of three teams consisting of six social secretaries with a lead social secretary who supervises, and together with your colleagues will support you in your authority functions. Your workplace will be in pleasant premises at the social office at Borstbindaregatan 12 A where all our investigation units and reception are located together in an open office landscape with fixed workstations. The office is centrally located near Hjalmar Brantingsplatsen with good transportation connections. Duties The work involves investigating and assessing the needs of children and young people (0-18 years) for support, making decisions and following up interventions based on risk and protective factors using BBIC and in accordance with current legislation (SoL, LBSB, and LVU). You will handle cases under the law on children in protected housing and we work closely with Intimate Partner Violence. The work includes meetings, conversations with children, young people and families, where documentation is an important part. A goal is to increase children's voice and participation - conversations with children are therefore a central task. You have an important role for the children and families we meet and we work together for success. Collaboration with each other, cooperation with our implementing units, protected housing, other cooperation partners and important people for the family are therefore crucial. Introduction, supervision and skills development we consider essential. In addition to introduction, you will be offered continuous professional development through Yrkesresan and training in other methods available in the unit. The unit actively works on skills development regarding children who have experienced violence, intimate partner violence and honor-related violence. Your lead social secretary and your mentor will provide close support during your introduction in addition to the department's introduction coordinator. Qualifications A degree in social work (socionomexamen) is required for this position. To succeed in the role, you need knowledge of child development and legislation in this field. We would like you to have experience working with violence. Previous experience with authority functions and/or other social work with children and young people is a merit. You need good ability to express yourself in Swedish both verbally and in writing. Knowledge of Treserva and a driver's license are merits.
