About the Role and Your Responsibilities
As an investigative social worker, your tasks will include investigations and follow-ups on approved interventions for the age group 0-17 years. When needed, you work across boundaries to meet children and families in the best way possible. We practice genuine social work, taking time to meet people, listen, and see how we can help people toward change. Our work is characterized by high quality, legal certainty, and we constantly strive to find a balance between good quality in our operations and a good work environment for our employees.
We Are Looking for You
We are looking for you with a degree in social work and experience investigating children and young people within social services, or other relevant government work that has given you insight and knowledge in this area. We value that you combine your commitment with a calm demeanor and have the ability to prioritize and structure your work. At the same time, you are flexible and can adapt when the organization's needs affect your planning.
You treat people with respect and handle your authority responsibly by focusing on and analyzing the most essential information to manage your cases in different situations.
It is meritorious if you have further education in the field and a B-class driver's license.

Investigation Unit Children and Youth 4 and VNR (focus on ages 0-100 with emphasis on intimate partner violence)

Continuous selection. The first interview is conducted digitally.
For employment concerning children and youth, you must provide a copy of your diploma and an extract from the police criminal record register. About the Workplace
Children, Youth and Family Support is a large operational area that includes four investigation units, foster care, family law, and extensive open care services.
We highly value collegial learning and therefore often work together on cases. We prioritize well-functioning cooperation with various actors around children and young people and collaborate broadly with schools, police, healthcare, and other parts of social services.
We are part of the Employment and Social Services Department where approximately 600 employees provide support to Lund residents who need social services. Together, we ensure that children and young people have the best possible upbringing. We base our approach on the whole family's situation and the principle that no one should come to harm. This involves providing support to adults with harmful use and addiction or mental disabilities, those who need financial assistance, guardianship, trusteeship or support to study or work, as well as refugees.
