The Social Services Department's work includes administrative authority and service provision for children and young people, persons with substance abuse issues, persons with mental health challenges, persons in need of financial support, and support for those affected by domestic violence. The department is divided into the Adult Division, Youth Division, Support and Employment Division, and Administration Division. We use a process-oriented approach where collaboration, development, and continuous improvement guide us forward.
We are now seeking a social pedagogue for a temporary position at the Residential Unit. We are looking for temporary workers for the Residential Unit. The unit consists of a supported housing facility, a group home, and a service housing facility for persons with mental health challenges, harmful substance use/addiction, or comorbidity. The temporary position covers the period from October 1 (or by agreement) through September 30, 2027, with the possibility of extension.

JOB DUTIES
As a temporary employee with us, you work in a team to support clients in their daily lives alongside your colleagues. Support may include authority and healthcare contact, supportive and motivational conversations, and other interventions in their homes. The role also includes medication management following approved delegation. We are also responsible for conducting outreach activities.
You and your colleagues work together to create a daily life for clients where influence and participation are central to everyday-based work. Strengthening the individual's own resources and opportunities for change are other key principles that permeate our work. In your role, you should be curious, unpretentious, take initiative, and start activities to achieve results.
The facilities are staffed 24/7.
Work hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required qualifications:
• Educated social pedagogue or other education deemed equivalent
• Experience in social work with adults with mental health challenges, harmful substance use/addiction, or comorbidity
• B-class driver's license
