Do you want to work closely with young people and help create sustainable change in their daily lives? At KABiT, we work with children and young people who need support, structure, and reliable adults around them. Our work is based on each individual's needs and circumstances and is built on close relationships, clarity, and professional conduct. With us, you work in a team where multiple competencies and experiences come together. We place great emphasis on collaboration and staff helping each other understand situations, find solutions, and develop our methods. Quality in treatment work is created by dedicated and competent staff who are given the opportunity to be present in the young people's daily lives. Therefore, high staff-to-resident ratios and close collaboration are important parts of our operations. Now we're looking for you to become part of our team and contribute to a safe, stable, and development-oriented daily life for the young people living with us. About the work We are now recruiting a colleague for the Training Residence, which is our supported housing facility. The target group is girls and boys aged 16-20 (12 places). The training apartments are located together in central Hörby in direct connection to the base residence where staff operate from. As a social pedagogue at KABiT, you work closely with young people in their daily lives. This means you are involved in and support everything from structured work to daily routines and activities. Work days can look very different. For example, you might support a young person preparing for school, attend a meeting, cook together, plan an activity, or help resolve a difficult situation. An important part of the role is creating predictability and security. For many of our young people, functioning relationships with adults is an important part of development. Therefore, you need to be able to be present and engaged while also setting clear boundaries. The work requires both patience and flexibility. A solution that works for one young person may not work for another. We therefore work in an individualized manner and try to understand what lies behind a behavior rather than just reacting to what we see in the moment. What you get at KABiT: · At the beginning of your employment, you attend an introductory day where our unit managers present the operations, routines, and expectations. · We offer both company-wide and individual development opportunities. · We work with a unit manager on-site at all units, which means short decision-making paths and operations-based support in your work every day. · External supervision. · Wellness allowance of 2500 kr/year. Requirements: Relevant post-secondary education, for example as a social pedagogue, social worker, or other education that the employer deems equivalent. Experience working with young people, preferably in supported housing or similar operations. Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish in speech and writing. Class B driver's license as the work includes driving. Meritorious: Experience working with young people with NPF, self-harm behavior, OCD, eating disorders, or other challenging behaviors. Knowledge of low-arousal approaches and experience handling threatening or challenging situations. Basic knowledge in BBIC, TMO, or CBT. Experience with documentation in journal systems. What are we looking for in you? Beyond education and experience, your personal qualities are important. You need to be able to meet young people calmly and respectfully in all situations. You can be clear without becoming confrontational and you understand the value of building relationships. You also need to be able to accept that development takes time; sometimes you need to try several different approaches before finding the one that works. You are stable and keep your composure when things get hectic around you, you can combine warmth with clear boundaries, and you take responsibility and work independently. The position Location: KABiT's operations in Hörby/Höör Full-time equivalent: 80-100% Employment type: Probationary employment Working hours: Day, evening, and weekend work. On-call sleeping duty included. Start date: By agreement Application deadline: 2026-10-18 Send your application to: [email protected] You will need to submit an extract from the Police Authority's criminal record and suspicion register in connection with employment. You can find the form at https://polisen.se/tjanster-tillstand/belastningsregistret/hvb-hem. To facilitate the recruitment process, you should request the extract directly with your application; preferably arrange to receive it digitally if you have a digital mailbox. We will request documentation to verify your education. You are welcome to attach certificates of education and other relevant documentation directly to your application. In our recruitment process, we have made decisions about recruitment channels and marketing. We therefore politely but firmly decline contact from media sales representatives, job boards, and similar. We look forward to receiving your application!
