WE ARE LOOKING FOR A SOCIAL WORKER IN OUR TEAM
SOCIAL WORKER in a low-threshold facility for children and youth
WHAT YOU WILL DO
• Social work with children and young people aged 6-26 in the low-threshold club Zavináč in both outpatient and field forms, working with individuals and groups.
• Your work will include contacting young people, building relationships, communication, accompaniment, support, and assistance in managing the life situations they face. Together with the client, you will individually plan and implement steps leading to the agreed-upon collaboration goals.
• You will prepare and implement preventive, educational, and creative programs.
• You will collaborate in a small team where we consult together, prepare, learn, and think about what more we can do for our clients and how to continuously improve our work.
• Administrative work and other activities related to ensuring the operation of the social service and nonprofit organization are a necessary part of the job.
WE REQUIRE
• Education: Post-secondary or higher education meeting the conditions for practicing the profession of social worker according to Act No. 108/2006 Coll.
• Clean criminal record and health fitness for working with children: medical confirmation, clean criminal record,
from 1.1.2027 you will also provide the so-called "child certificate".
• Time flexibility for afternoon shifts according to schedule - working hours are usually 10:00 - 18:30.
• Age ideally 21+, considering the target group you will work with.
WE FURTHER EXPECT
• Positive attitude toward working with children and young people, including those socially excluded and minorities.
• Positive attitude toward Christian and Salesian values.
• Orientation in the social field and topics concerning children and young people.
• Personal maturity, capacity for self-reflection.
• Active and responsible approach to work, reliability, independence, communication skills, empathy.
• Ability to cooperate and communicate in a small team.
• Advanced computer skills.
• An advantage if you have experience in the field - for example, experience in preventive social services, experience working with children or youth, experience with Salesian pedagogy, etc.
WE OFFER
• 0.5 position, salary from 17,000,- Kč gross, vacation 5 weeks.
• Start date by arrangement, at the latest 09/26, predominantly afternoon working hours according to service schedule.
