Rīgas Sociālais dienests Rīgas Sociālais dienests announces a recruitment competition for a social assistance coordinator (Level 1) position (profession code 3412 03). Rīgas Sociālais dienests is a subordinate institution of the Welfare Department of Rīga City Municipality that provides social assistance, organizes and delivers social services, and ensures assistant services in the municipality to Rīga residents. The position's purpose is to assess and ensure the provision of social assistance to meet people's basic needs. Accept and register applications from social assistance applicants, evaluate a person's social and material situation, and prepare livelihood declarations. We will entrust you with: informing clients about their rights to social assistance and the possibilities and procedures for exercising these rights, as well as cooperation obligations in receiving social assistance; assessing the social and material situation of a person (family), preparing a Livelihood Declaration, processing electronically received "Livelihood Declarations"; accepting and registering applications from social assistance applicants in the municipality's social assistance information system SOPA; recording and maintaining computerized records of allocated and received assistance; providing accurate and client-understandable answers to their questions, and other duties; preparing drafts of administrative acts and informational letters in accordance with legal requirements. We expect: Level 1 higher professional education or Level 2 higher professional or academic education, or students obtaining education in social assistance, social work, or charitable social work study programs, as well as at least short-cycle higher education; state language proficiency at C1 level (highest level); ability to navigate legal acts; excellent computer and office equipment skills; communication skills and ability to interact with people; ability to make independent decisions within your competence. We offer: employment for an indefinite period; professional training; social guarantees (including health insurance; after one year of work, annual holiday bonus once per calendar year up to 50% of monthly salary and paid additional leave up to 10 working days); transport fare benefits on Rīga city public transportation routes; monthly salary - 1280.00 EUR (before tax payment); work location - Latgale District Department Social Assistance and Social Services Center, Salnas iela 2, Rīga, (TC Pļavnieki).
