Aizkraukles novada Sociālais dienests Registration No.: 40900012011 invites applications for a permanent position as a social worker in the support department for families with children Number of vacancies: 1 (one full-time position) Monthly salary – 1423 euro. Work location: Daugavas iela 1, Aizkraukle, Aizkraukles novads, LV-5101 / Melioratoru iela 1, Koknese, Aizkraukles novads, LV-5113. Main job responsibilities: provide information, consultations, and support to families; determine the need for social services and organize service provision; assess family social functioning, identify problems, and identify resources; evaluate risk of harm in families where children face unfavorable conditions for development; agree with the client on the collaboration process; develop social rehabilitation/collaboration plans and prevention programs for minors; assess the needs and resources of orphans and youth without parental care after reaching adulthood, evaluate changes in social situation over a two-year period; maintain client files ensuring documentation of the social case management process in electronic/paper format and maintain computerized records of assigned services and archive documents. Requirements for candidates: education – Master's degree in social work; specialized training course in child protection (desirable); ability to navigate and apply legislation; ability to make independent decisions within one's competence; strong computer and office equipment skills; interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with people; advanced level of state language proficiency; ability to work under high stress conditions, ability to organize one's work; attention to detail, ability to acquire new information and manage large volumes of information; Category B driver's license (desirable).
