Your new workplace Mitthem is the municipal public housing company of Sundsvall with approximately 6,000 apartments and is therefore Sundsvall's largest landlord. Mitthem has approximately 53 employees, half women and half men, and we work every day to create safe, sustainable and pleasant homes and premises for our tenants – and thus contribute to real social benefit. About the position As a Social Sustainability Strategist, you are responsible for developing, coordinating and driving the company's social sustainability work. The role spans both strategic and operational matters. You work closely with the company's management and are part of the Business Support department, while at the same time being present in our residential areas where you build relationships and are a guiding light for positive development. The role includes leading the work towards Sundsvall Municipality's goal of reducing social inequalities in living conditions in prioritized areas. An important part of the assignment is to translate the company's goals into concrete activities and ensure that measures are followed up and developed over time. For Mitthem, tenant participation is important and the role includes encouraging dialogue and creating meeting places for our residents so they feel they can influence their housing situation. The assignment involves leading, developing and coordinating through, for example: Developing the company's strategy and action plans for social sustainability Analyzing safety and area development issues and proposing measures Developing work with social investments and preventive measures Initiating activities for children and young people together with civil society organizations and other actors Representing the company in Sundsvall Municipality's social sustainability work Supporting managers and employees on social sustainability issues Monitoring the external environment and developing new approaches Social sustainability reporting We are looking for you who have University degree in, for example, social sciences, sociology, political science or social work, or other education that the employer considers equivalent. Several years of experience with strategic development work in social sustainability, safety or community development. Experience in leading projects and collaboration between multiple actors Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing Good knowledge of the English language.
