Are you a school nurse who wants to make a difference for children and young people? We are seeking a school nurse for a temporary position working at one of our facilities in central Lindesberg. Now you have the opportunity to work with experienced colleagues to continue developing our health promotion and prevention work at one or more of our schools in the municipality. The medical component of Student Health Services in Lindesberg Municipality operates on the principle that the school nurse is responsible for approximately 350 students per full-time position. You will be part of the local student health teams at the schools, working alongside school leadership, special education teachers, school counselors, school psychologists, and fellow school nurses. You will be part of Lindesberg Municipality's central student health unit together with other school nurses, school doctors, counselors, and psychologists working in preschools and primary schools. You will collaborate closely with the student health school nurse group through shared development days and professional meetings. We offer mentoring and professional development opportunities for all professional categories within the student health unit. 1 position(s). WORK TASKS As a school nurse, your specialized expertise is the medical perspective in schools. You are interested in risk and protective factors related to children's and students' health, which connects to Student Health Services' main mission of supporting students' development toward educational goals. You work directly with students through health visits and vaccinations, and provide some open clinic hours. You also work closely with school leadership and actively participate in the school's student health team. QUALIFICATIONS Licensed nurse with a specialist nursing degree as a school nurse, district nurse, or pediatric nurse. Driver's license class B and access to your own car are required, as travel between work locations is part of the position. We expect you to have strong organizational and planning skills. We require that you be independent, flexible, self-motivated, and enjoy working in a team and in close collaboration with school staff. You have a good and empathetic approach and the ability to build trust with students, guardians, and colleagues. Personal suitability is given significant weight.
