The municipality's central child and student health service is investing in expanding the medical profession within student health and is now seeking a school nurse for our unit. As a school nurse, you are an important part of the student health medical service and work to promote health, prevent illness, and provide support to create the best possible conditions for children's and students' health, development, and learning.
You will work in close collaboration with other professionals within student health as well as with school management, educators, students, and guardians. The position is organizationally placed within the central child and student health service, with work directed toward one or more school units where you will also have your physical office.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a school nurse, you are responsible for, among other things:
• Conducting health visits and health conversations according to current guidelines and governing documents
• Monitoring children's and students' health development through collaboration with students' educators
• Working with vaccinations according to the national vaccination program
• Contributing medical expertise in student health work at individual, group, and organizational levels
• Identifying and noting early signs of poor health and initiating and following up on measures to increase school attendance
• Collaborating with other professionals within student health and external actors such as healthcare and social services
• Documenting in journal systems (we use Prorenata according to applicable legislation (HSL, Patient Safety Act, and GDPR)
• Participating in development work at the school unit, the central child and student health service, and in the school nurse group
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who have:
• licensure as a specialist nurse with a focus on health and medical care for children and youth, district nurse, or school nurse education
• good knowledge of the student health service mission and current governing documents
• good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish
• basic digital competency and experience with record keeping
• Category B driver's license
