You contribute psychological expertise that helps school leaders, teachers, and student welfare teams make well-founded decisions, and you shape strategies that strengthen students' mental health and academic success. Your responsibilities As a centrally placed school psychologist, you work across multiple schools and encounter a wide variety of issues and needs. You work at the individual, group, and organizational levels and contribute psychological expertise to the school's student welfare efforts. You conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to support pedagogical and organizational initiatives, and you provide consultative support to principals, teachers, and student welfare teams on matters concerning mental health, learning environments, and student interactions. Through collaboration with external actors, such as child and adolescent psychiatric services, social services, and guardians, you create a comprehensive approach to support each student and find solutions that meet their needs. Another part of your assignment is to contribute to competency-building initiatives for school staff through lectures and workshops. You support and mentor work teams in developing shared understanding and common approaches to create favorable conditions for all students, including students with neurodevelopmental disabilities (NPF). You participate in development projects at the central level as part of the operational area's systematic quality work, for example through developing and refining guidelines for student welfare activities. Supervision of trainee psychologists may also be part of your responsibilities. Your qualifications You are a licensed psychologist with experience in psychological assessments and testing. With a strong ability to translate psychological knowledge into practical and pedagogical solutions, you make your expertise accessible and useful to the organization. You have excellent communication skills and express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. Experience working in school settings, with children and young people, or experience in supervision is a plus. An interest in organizational development and preventive work is meritorious. You are confident in your professional role and handle complex situations with a professional and nuanced approach. You are self-driven and well-organized, while also being flexible and able to adapt to different situations and needs. You build professional and trusting relationships and contribute to good and constructive collaboration. You have the ability to see and understand different perspectives and adapt your communication to your audience and context.
