We are approximately 350 colleagues within the children's and education administration who work in four school areas with children and students ages 1-16. We work to ensure that all children and young people have a good learning environment where they feel safe and have the opportunity to achieve good results. Welcome to one of our four school areas: Lärcenter, Skived, Ullerud, and Grossbol. Description As a school psychologist, you work within the municipality's preschools, elementary schools F–9, and adapted elementary school. You are part of student health services and collaborate closely with principals, educators, and schools' student health teams. You contribute psychological expertise to support children's and students' health, development, and learning. The work has a clear health promotion and prevention focus and is conducted through a consultative approach at individual, group, and organizational levels. The position also includes serving as department head for the psychological services of student health (under HSL) and thus having psychological management responsibility. Duties As a school psychologist, you will, among other things: provide consultation and guidance to principals, educators, and student health teams conduct training initiatives and observations conduct psychological assessments and evaluations as well as follow up on these contribute psychological perspectives to preventative and health-promoting student health work support the development of safe and accessible learning environments collaborate with children and students, guardians, and external partners participate in and drive development work in the field lead, develop, and ensure quality in the psychological services with a focus on quality and patient safety. Qualifications We are looking for someone who is a licensed psychologist with a license issued by the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen). You have knowledge of psychological assessments and evaluations and a good ability to express yourself in Swedish both verbally and in writing. It is a merit if you have experience in psychological work with children and young people, especially within school or student health services. We would like to see that you have conducted school and student evaluations, for example within adapted elementary school. Experience as a department head, with psychological management responsibility, or with other quality and patient safety work is also a merit, as is knowledge of student health services' mission and experience with the Prorenata documentation system. To succeed in the role, you are confident and stable and have the ability to distinguish between the personal and professional. You work independently, take initiative, and drive your tasks forward in a structured way. You collaborate well with others, are responsive, and communicate clearly. You have a holistic perspective and make decisions with the organization's best interests in focus. The role also requires that you are quality-conscious and have a good ability to analyze and solve complex issues. A class B driver's license is required as you need to be able to travel between facilities within the municipality. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
