Salary classification: Government Regulation No. 341/2017 Coll., on remuneration conditions of employees in public services and administration, as amended Salary scale according to salary classes and salary steps for employees listed in § 5 subsection 4. Qualification requirements for the position of special education teacher are established in § 18 of the Act on Pedagogical Workers No. 563/2024 Coll., as amended: A special education teacher obtains professional qualification a) through higher education obtained by studies in an accredited study program in the field of pedagogical sciences a) focused on special education, b) focused on preschool pedagogy or preparation of primary school teachers or preparation of teachers of general education subjects in secondary school or preparation of educators and 1. by studying to extend professional qualification focused on preparation of special education teachers, 2. through higher education in an accredited bachelor's study program focused on special education and by studying to extend professional qualification to obtain competence to conduct special education counseling, or 3. by studying to extend professional qualification to obtain competence to perform special education, educational and training activities in schools and classes established for children and students with special educational needs and by studying to extend professional qualification to obtain competence to conduct special education counseling, or c) of the study field pedagogy and 1. by studying to extend professional qualification focused on preparation of special education teachers, 2. through higher education in an accredited bachelor's study program focused on special education and by studying to extend professional qualification to obtain competence to conduct special education counseling, or 3. by studying to extend professional qualification to obtain competence to perform special education, educational and training activities in schools and classes established for children and students with special educational needs and by studying to extend professional qualification to obtain competence to conduct special education counseling, or d) focused on special education and preparation of primary school teachers or teachers of general education subjects in secondary school. Standard activities of a special education teacher in school are established in Annex No. 2 of Regulation No. 72/2002 Coll., as amended. Changing the employment relationship to a fixed term is possible.
