Your Tasks As a school counselor, you work to see the student in their full context. You work to remove obstacles to learning and contribute to students' development and health through your expertise. The counselor is a natural member of the school's student health team and works in a health-promoting, preventive, and intervention-focused manner in the student health mission. As a counselor, you are an expert within the school on social work and social legislation. You participate in the school's planning, implementation, and evaluation of norm-critical value-based work and work against harassment and discrimination. You are also a consultative support and mentor other staff on these issues. As a counselor, you offer support, motivational conversations, and crisis counseling related to school-related matters to individual students, groups, or guardians. You participate in establishing and implementing action plans, work continuously with documentation, and contribute to systematic quality work. Beyond direct student work, you collaborate with activities and authorities outside the school. As a school counselor, you participate in professional networks held by the coordinating counselor. You are offered professional development in the form of supervision and participation in student health conferences organized by central student health. Tallboda Schools consist of Ekdungeskolan (grades F-3) and Tallbodaskolan (grades 4-6), where approximately 400 students and a team of 60 employees together create an inclusive school environment. Additionally, Tallboda Resource School Language (grades 1-6) is part of the operation. We have unified school leadership, administration, and student health, which gives us excellent conditions for collaboration and a holistic perspective in our work. About You We are looking for someone with a university degree as a social worker or in behavioral science, or alternatively another university degree that the employer deems relevant. You have previous experience working with supportive conversations and health-promoting work. Prior experience as a school counselor is considered a merit. Since you are responsible for written documentation in this position, and since language is one of your most important work tools, the position requires good knowledge of Swedish both in speaking and writing. You have good knowledge of and tools for handling difficult conversations. Prior experience with the systems prorenata, skola 24, and unikum is considered a merit. Working well with others and listening and communicating constructively is self-evident for you. You are outgoing and create and maintain professional relationships.
