About the position
At Södra Cell Mönsterås, we work every day to create sustainable products from the forest. To ensure our production runs safely and efficiently, we need engaged employees who ensure our facilities maintain high availability around the clock.
We are now looking for a Shift Mechanic Mek who wants to contribute to a safe working environment, high operational reliability, and the development of future industry. Right now, we are also facing an exciting development with a new lignin factory and new technology that will place new demands on both collaboration and technical expertise.
What you'll work with at Södra
As a Shift Mechanic Mek, you work to ensure operations by performing mechanical maintenance and contributing to continuous improvements in our work methods and technical solutions.
Your tasks include:
Perform preventive and corrective mechanical maintenance.
Conduct mechanical installation and repair work.
Troubleshoot and resolve problems in production equipment.
Repair and restore replaced equipment.
Perform simple lifting and handling work.
Contribute to the development of work methods and technical solutions within your area of responsibility.
Work closely with operations personnel, electrical and instrument technicians, and other maintenance groups.
When needed, support other parts of the maintenance organization.
The position is located in Mönsterås and working hours are continuous shift work (6-shift schedule).

At Södra, safety is always the top priority. Therefore, we are looking for someone who works risk-consciously, actively participates in risk assessments, and ensures that identified risks are managed before work begins.
To be a candidate for this role, we see that you have:
High school education in mechanics or equivalent competence acquired through education or work experience.
Solid knowledge of mechanical maintenance.
Experience with logical troubleshooting methodology.
Ability to read and understand drawings and diagrams.
Experience in repair and installation of mechanical equipment.
Good proficiency in Swedish.
Driver's license category B.
Good computer skills and administrative ability.
It is advantageous if you have experience from process industry or other manufacturing industry.
