As a nurse with us at the Adult Psychiatric Clinic in Fagersta, you will meet patients with all psychiatric diagnoses. The work is varied where you will work broadly with treatment, counseling, and home visits. At our clinic, we work with competency rotation which provides you with additional development and challenges in your work. Work Tasks We strive to provide our patients with good care and professional treatment in an operation undergoing change and development. As part of keeping pace with development, we work with competency rotation. This means that as a nurse, you will be offered the opportunity to perform certain tasks that were previously under the doctor's responsibility. We also actively work to digitalize our operations to be able to offer conversations and treatment through digital channels. This is a way to more efficiently offer our patients fast, individualized, and good care of high quality. As a nurse with us, your duties include preparing, administering, and monitoring prescribed medication treatment, medical records administration, supportive conversations, and telephone counseling. In your role, you are an important link in the patient's rehabilitation, which means you regularly collaborate with others, both internally within the organization and with other external healthcare providers in, for example, coordinated individual plans. Home visits may also occur. About the Workplace In Region Västmanland, all adult psychiatry is gathered in one organization, which creates good conditions for a well-functioning care chain and good cooperation between different units. To meet needs, we work with continuous development of our operations. Adult Psychiatry Västmanland is divided into two sections: inpatient care and outpatient care. Inpatient care is located in Västerås and consists of five care wards and an emergency clinic. The Adult Psychiatric Clinics are organized under outpatient care, which in addition to Västerås also operates in Köping, Fagersta, and Sala. The Adult Psychiatric Clinic in Fagersta serves patients with mental health issues requiring specialist care who reside in Fagersta, Norberg, Virsbo, or Skinnskattebergs municipalities. At the clinic, doctors, curators, psychologists, PTP-psychologists, occupational therapists, nurses, care assistants, and administrative staff work together, a total of approximately 20 dedicated and skilled employees. Qualifications We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse, preferably with specialist education in psychiatry. Work experience from psychiatric care, having worked as a nurse, and being able to administer in the Cosmic medical records system is a merit. Since the role requires that you can communicate verbally and in writing with patients, relatives, and colleagues, good knowledge of the Swedish language is required. It is desirable that you hold a B-class driver's license. We place great emphasis on personal qualities and personal suitability.
