Our operations focus on highly specialized surgery in colorectal and upper gastrointestinal diseases. Here we care for both scheduled and acute patients with oncological diseases as well as acute surgical conditions - which gives you an exciting and varied daily experience where your expertise makes a difference every day. Currently we have 18 beds, but we have ambitions to grow and develop further. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a registered nurse with us, you'll have a workday that is both varied and developing. Here you'll work with medical-technical tasks, central lines, pain management (PCEA and PCA), nutritional feeding tubes, and wound care with negative pressure treatment. An important part of care involves patient mobilization, where you receive excellent support from our physiotherapists. Here you develop broad surgical expertise and a solid foundation to grow in your professional role. Whether you are new to the profession or an experienced registered nurse, we offer you an individualized introduction with the support of experienced and supportive colleagues. If you are newly qualified, you have the chance to strengthen yourself in your role through Region Skåne's introduction program, which combines clinical skills training with theoretical lectures. For those who want to take further steps in their career, there is an opportunity for paid specialist education in surgery (60 credits) that you can study part-time over two years - while continuing to work with us. We encourage you to actively explore and build on your expertise. For example, you can become a nursing care nurse and participate in care rounds, and thus contribute to the development of care and our patients' well-being. Team spirit is our strength. We work in interprofessional teams consisting of registered nurses, nursing assistants, doctors, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and a supply pharmacist who supports with medication management. In addition, we have strong support from, among others, a stoma care nursing assistant, dietitian, community coordinator nursing assistant, placement coordinator, and service staff. We also work closely with the pain management team to ensure our patients receive individually tailored pain relief. Our workplace is characterized by collaboration, care, and security - both for our patients and for you as a colleague. Here we want you to thrive, develop, and feel like an important part of the team! The position involves rotation work day, evening, and night shifts. The number of night shifts affects weekly working hours. Weekend duty is included, two out of five weekends. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who are a licensed registered nurse with the authority to practice in Swedish healthcare. Swedish language proficiency at least equivalent to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale is required. If you have experience in surgical care or specialist education in the field, that is a merit. To thrive in the role, you are a flexible and confident person who appreciates variations in work pace. You have a good ability to adapt and prioritize your work and show care for both patients and their relatives and your colleagues.
