Nurse in Specialist Addiction Care

We are now looking to strengthen our operations and are seeking a specialist psychiatric nurse for work in specialist addiction care, or a registered nurse for rotation, which offers you a unique opportunity to broaden your expertise in specialized addiction care consisting of several addiction clinics and a LARO clinic. Together we welcome people who need help managing problems related to alcohol and addictive substances, gambling disorder, and medication dependence. In this role, you will work in specialist addiction care with placement at our clinics in Bollnäs. 1 position(s). JOB DUTIES As a nurse with us, you will work independently, broadly, and with varied tasks. Your primary placement will be at the addiction clinic in Bollnäs, but you will be part of specialist addiction care in Hälsingland where you work in a team consisting of physicians, nurses, counselor, treatment educator, and medical secretaries. Work is conducted in collaboration with all professional categories within addiction care and other public services. In the role as a registered nurse, you will also work approximately 20 percent in 24-hour care which may include both ward and emergency clinic. As a nurse with us, you will work with, among other things: • abstinence assessment and mapping of addiction disorders • medical treatment • suicide prevention and structured support measures • telephone counseling, supportive and motivational conversations • psychoeducation for patients and/or relatives • medication management, medication follow-up, and drug screening • internal and external collaboration and mentoring students and new employees. The role requires that you have the ability to collaborate well with patients, their relatives, colleagues, and partners. You are confident in making independent assessments and take responsibility for driving work forward, even when it means prioritizing and quickly shifting focus to meet today's needs. With a calm and controlled approach, you handle challenging situations and find it easy to create a safe and respectful interaction. You listen to both patients and colleagues, are responsive and communicative, and value constructive dialogue and feedback to strengthen collaboration. You have an interest in developing care with a focus on psychiatry and addiction care. In the role as a nurse you should • be a licensed nurse • have a Class B driver's license. For this position, it is advantageous if you have previous experience working in psychiatric care or addiction care as well as training in CBT, MI, or ÅP.
