About the Operation

Our orthopedic inpatient care is divided into two departments: Department 17, which receives acute orthopedic patients, and Department 18, which focuses on elective orthopedics with pre- and postoperative care. You will meet patients with fractures, osteoarthritis, and other conditions of the musculoskeletal system. The pace varies, which contributes to a dynamic and stimulating work environment. Here, nurses, nursing assistants, physiotherapists, and physicians work closely together to provide safe and quality care.

Responsibilities
As a nurse with us, you will work with pre- and postoperative patient care for those undergoing orthopedic procedures.
Your main responsibilities are:
Overall responsibility for the patient during the hospital stay
Wound care, pain management, and mobilization
Preparation for surgery and follow-up after the procedure
Medication management
Patient safety, documentation, and development work in daily operations
Interprofessional collaboration with nursing assistants, physicians, physiotherapists, and others, as well as with other care units
Qualifications
Requirements:
Licensed nurse or nursing student with expected graduation during 2027
Good Swedish language skills, spoken and written
Good documentation skills
Meritorious:
Experience in orthopedic care
Experience in wound care
Experience in inpatient care
Experience in acute care
