Within the health and medical care administration, primary care, dental care, and hospital care are combined in a single administration and organized into regional and local health care areas. The Skellefteå local health care area includes the Emergency Department, Medical and Geriatric Clinic, Rehabilitation Center, Psychiatric Clinic, 1177, Center for Operative Activities, and primary care in Skellefteå and Norsjö. Together, these units work to provide good and accessible care.
The Medical and Geriatric Clinic in Skellefteå is one of the hospital's largest clinics with approximately 300 employees. Our clinic has patient beds organized according to medical and geriatric specialties, and the majority of our patients come through the emergency department. The clinic also includes outpatient services with medical, geriatric, and dialysis clinics, day care, and a physiological laboratory. The clinic also houses a research unit, which is unique for a county hospital.
We are now recruiting registered nurses for departments 3, 6, 7, and 26 at our clinic. Department 3 specializes in stroke and gastroenterology, department 6 in cardiology and pulmonary medicine, department 7 in hematology, kidney diseases and diabetes, and department 26 in geriatric specialized expertise. The position involves day, evening, and night shifts, with the possibility of working night shifts only. Working hours can be adjusted according to your preferences. We also work on the units using a modified 3–3 work schedule model that promotes opportunities for recovery.

As a registered nurse with us, you are a key person in collaboration with the patient and their loved ones, where you are responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care—always with the patient's needs and resources in focus.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are seeking registered nurses with an interest in the medical and geriatric field at the department level. It is an asset if you have experience working on a care ward in these areas or in other acute care settings.
As a person, you are responsible and committed. You have good collaborative skills with patients, family members, and colleagues alike. We also see that you are able to work independently, that you are flexible, and that you have sensitivity to people's differences. We place great importance on personal suitability.
