Bollnäs sjukhus is a small and welcoming unit where collaboration between different operations is key to success. On medical unit 5, we care for general medicine patients around the clock, with specialized expertise in nephrology and diabetes. At the endoscopy and gastroenterology clinic, we treat both medical patients with acute and chronic gastrointestinal diseases and patients being evaluated for surgical abdominal and intestinal conditions. Here you will have the opportunity to work at two smaller and welcoming units where we help each other together to provide safe and excellent care to the residents of southern Hälsingland.

JOB DUTIES
As a registered nurse with us, you will have varied work duties. You will be responsible for patient care and work with preparations and care of patients before, during, and after examinations. You will assist with endoscopic procedures and treatments and observe problems and changes in the patient's condition and take action as needed. The position includes 50 percent rotation to the endoscopy and gastroenterology clinic with duty every fourth weekend.
As a registered nurse with us you will work with
• administering and distributing medications
• preparation and patient care before, during, and after treatments and examinations
• inserting peripheral IV catheters, taking samples, administering injections
• assisting with endoscopic procedures
• colorectal cancer screening programs
• appointment scheduling and patient care systems such as 1177 and Min vård Gävleborg
• telephone advice and patient information as well as monitoring of medication treatments.

In your role as a registered nurse, you should be
• a licensed registered nurse
Experience with peritoneal dialysis and/or similar operations is meritorious.
A trial period may be applied.
