The Pulmonary Ward is part of the Internal Medicine operational area and has 16 care beds. We provide acute and planned specialist care for all of Gävleborg. With us, you will become part of a competent work team where it is easy to thrive and develop.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
On the ward, we care for and evaluate patients with lung diseases, where the largest patient groups are lung cancer and COPD as well as other conditions and diseases that lead to respiratory failure. We also receive general medicine patients as space permits. In your work, you will have close collaboration with the responsible nursing assistant and doctor on your care team, and you will also collaborate with other support functions on the ward such as coordinator, care planner, physiotherapist, and occupational therapist.
As a registered nurse with us, you will work with, among other things:
• arterial blood gases
• inhalations
• pleural drainage
• palliative care
• ventilators.

QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with good collaboration skills, who communicates well and is responsive to patients and your colleagues. As we conduct specialized pulmonary care for acute and critically ill patients as well as palliative care, we see that you are a flexible person who has the ability to relate to and understand others' situations. With us, you will gain both in-depth knowledge of lung medical diseases and broad knowledge of general medicine, as well as a fun and educational workplace where you make a difference.
In your role as a registered nurse, you should:
• be a licensed registered nurse with authorization to work in Swedish healthcare
• be able to communicate in Swedish both verbally and in writing.
We are looking for both newly graduated nurses and those with a few years of experience. If you have previous experience in pulmonary care, it is a merit but not a requirement. We will place great emphasis on your personal qualities.

We apply a six-month probationary period.
