About the position: At Pelvic Surgery Ward 8, we care for adult patients with gynecological or colorectal cancer undergoing highly specialized abdominal surgery. The majority come for planned care, but the ward also has acute intake. We work according to ERAS (Enhanced Recovery After Surgery), a structured treatment protocol focused on patient recovery. As a registered nurse, you lead, plan, and organize pre- and postoperative nursing care in close collaboration with nursing assistants, physicians, physiotherapists, and dietitians. The ward has 20 beds and also has a nurse-led admission clinic. With us, you will have the opportunity to develop your knowledge in surgical nursing and contribute to the unit's development work. The team consists of staff with varying experience, and several of our nurses are specialist-trained in surgical care. Work is scheduled during day, evening, and weekend shifts. Individual schedules are set for 10–15 weeks at a time, and the option for three-shift work is available if interested. There is also an opportunity for clinical rotations.
