Your Tasks
As a nurse in the on-call service, you work with patients in home healthcare, care facilities, LSS, and social psychiatry throughout Linköping Municipality. The work involves both planned and acute interventions where you are responsible for medical assessments, prioritization, and care measures based on patients' needs. You meet patients in their own homes and at municipal facilities, which provides varied and independent work with great breadth.
The assignment includes medication management, work with medical equipment, as well as advice and support to care staff. During your shifts, you work closely with your colleagues. Incoming cases are received by phone and distributed within the work group; a specific function exists for this so you can focus on the patient. The work requires that you can make independent assessments while also enjoying collaboration and supporting others in complex situations.
The service is in a development phase with great opportunities to participate in and influence both working methods and the service's continued development. There is the possibility to influence your employment rate and schedule; your working hours will be placed in the evenings and nights, with the possibility of daytime shifts on weekends. Weekend duty is included.
Your Workplace
The on-call service is based at Ålerydsvägen 5 and is responsible for on-call services within municipal health and medical care throughout Linköping Municipality. Nurses with various experience backgrounds and competencies work here, which contributes to a work group with broad knowledge and good collegial support. The work group is characterized by care, joy, and engagement, and we value an open work climate where employees are given the opportunity to take responsibility and contribute new ideas.
On-call services in Linköping Municipality operate between 4 PM–8 AM on weekdays and around the clock on weekends and public holidays.
About You
We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse and have experience working in the profession. It is meritorious if you have experience from municipal health and medical care and telephone counseling.
For this position, you must have a B driver's license, good proficiency in Swedish in speech and writing, and good computer skills.
As a person, you are confident, self-directed, and have the ability to prioritize and make decisions even in situations where the pace varies. You collaborate well with others and have a professional and service-oriented approach when meeting patients, relatives, and colleagues. Furthermore, you are flexible and easily adapt to changed circumstances and different care needs.
