About the Service
The Psychiatric Outpatient Team in Rättvik is staffed at the nursing level. Similar outpatient teams exist in both Mora and Malung. From Mora, our shared medical team, mobile teams (PEA-team), administrative team, and assessment and treatment team operate. We collaborate closely between teams and can be flexible regarding which clinic you work at during your time. In this position, remote work may be accepted if deemed appropriate based on qualifications. We work toward integrated outpatient care across all of Region Dalarna, which means collaboration with outpatient clinics in other locations also occurs and is under development. Inpatient care is available in Falun and Säter.
Our working hours are weekdays (Monday-Friday) 8-17 with weekends and holidays off, so you can plan your time and spend time with loved ones during Christmas, New Year's, and Easter holidays. Region Dalarna's flexibility agreement applies.
Job Responsibilities
We are seeking a nurse to join our dependency team in Psychiatric Outpatient Care Dalarna, based in Rättvik.
Patient work is divided into different functional areas such as neuropsychiatry, psychosis care, addiction treatment, and care for affective conditions, though shared cases also occur. This position primarily focuses on the dependency team.
As a nurse on our outpatient team, you'll meet patients at many different types of visits. Your responsibilities include conducting psychiatric assessments and follow-ups, managing medications—including distribution, administration, and monitoring—as well as conducting blood tests. We also provide telephone advice and patient education both in group and individual settings. We collaborate with family members, care providers, and inpatient care. We offer visits at the clinic, digitally, and sometimes home visits. We work closely as a team within our own clinic and with other clinics in the Region's outpatient psychiatry services. Within the dependency team specifically, you'll work extensively with collaboration with local authorities and primary care. We have a multidisciplinary dependency team within outpatient psychiatry and also an integrated addiction clinic together with a health center and local authority in the areas where we operate. There, we can meet patients together on scheduled time 1 day/week and conduct joint planning with different authorities.
Onboarding takes place on-site and is adapted to individual needs.
Qualifications
Authorized nurse (Leg. sjuksköterska).
Further education or experience working with addiction and comorbidity is desired, or alternatively work/experience that can be assessed as equivalent.
Further education in psychiatry is considered an asset, as is experience in psychiatry—but it is not required.
Class B driver's license is required.
