About the position The Pediatric Emergency Department in Huddinge is part of Astrid Lindgren Children's Hospital and receives approximately 20,000 children and teenagers between 0 and 18 years of age each year. The department primarily cares for children with acute medical conditions such as infections, respiratory distress, and other acute illnesses. The Pediatric Emergency Department has a special infection mandate and works in close collaboration with the Pediatric Acute Care Ward (BAVA). During 2026, the operation moved into completely newly renovated facilities designed in close collaboration with staff to create a modern work environment with efficient patient flow, increased patient safety, and good conditions for teamwork. As a nurse with us, you work together with nurses, nursing assistants, and physicians in a multiprofessional team where the child's and family's needs are always at the center. The work is varied and fast-paced and involves encounters with patients and relatives in many different situations. We are primarily seeking nurses for permanent full-time positions. Shifts include days, evenings, and weekends. There may also be opportunities for temporary assignments. We are looking for someone who is stable and maintains composure even in acute situations where you need to make well-considered prioritizations has good collaborative skills and contributes to good cooperation with colleagues, patients, and relatives is flexible and adapts to changed situations in an operation where the pace can shift quickly takes responsibility for your work tasks and works independently while seeking support when the situation requires it.
